Best compression socks?

With all the clothing posts I saw recently, I figured I'd add one of my own. I was wondering if anybody had compression sock recommendations that they use on a regular basis. I don't need any prescription, medical grade options at this time as its more for minor aches/pains/preventative after a full day of standing. I've just used a few over the years and haven't been overly satisfied with the quality/feel of them. As for style, that doesn't matter to me. All my current ones are black/brown. Thanks

Smart wool for sitting (car, airplane).
Sockwell always for work (cooler) and even though you mentioned you dont care, they are snazzy.
I have not liked any for recovery, but perhaps I need a different brand.

I like Walmart's Medipeds. They are reasonably priced, comfortable and have lasted a decent amount of time.
