  • What's on your Christmas list?

Since we know there are a few scrooges that hang around WCI, for the Christmas fanatics, what's on y'alls lists?

Best present (to myself): nine consecutive days off !!!!! Time to spend with family and catch up with everyone while the kids are home from college.

I've managed to convince everyone I know that I  really don't need any gifts (I'm always complaining about too much clutter and "stuff" in our home that I would love to get rid of), but that if someone feels compelled to buy something for me, then a pint or two of an interesting craft beer is always very appreciated.

A standing desk would be great.  Too bad some random spammer doesn't ever post here

Every Christmas I get a pair of Wicked Good slippers from LLBean.  I've been addicted to those things since I was a teen and wear them so much I need a new pair every year.

Wife is off a few days from campus and the boys will be home in between two-a-days swim practices.  Presence is always better than presents in my book.

But, now that you've put a new bike on the table, I'll raise you and say that I would be very happy if there was a new carbon fibre road bike sitting under the tree. Specifically:

          https://www.cervelo.com/en/road/r-series/r5?model=81f46a8b-c018-47b9-8b54-1122e8d745f8

          Image result for cervelo r5

Unfortunately, I am approaching the s-1 criteria of The Rules #12, so I doubt whether I will be seeing any new carbon frames this year.

          Rule #12 //
The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.

While the minimum number of bikes one should own is three, the correct number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner.

Thats nice. I love my bike, a Ritte Vlaanderen, but would love it more with some disc brakes.

For christmas...I dont want anything, and have spent years trying to get people to not buy stuff for me.

I can normally think of a few things I want for Christmas but came up empty this year. My gift to myself is 4 weeks off and weaning my one year old ( which translates into a little more sleep at night!) I honestly can't imagine anything greater than time and sleep!

A roomba! (I have a toddler and the kitchen floor is constantly covered in food. I am tired of all the sweeping)

Best of both worlds is to night wean and just nurse during the day. Mine is 18 months, we nurse morning and bedtime, sleep through the night, and best of all I DON'T PUMP ANYMORE! Toddler nursing is the best :-)

Haha, I hear you! But I'm one of those unlucky ladies that doesn't lose the last 10 lbs until I wean. If that were not the case I'd consider going longer but I am really ready to feel normal again!

This is looking likely for me. I'm actually trying to n-1 (or 3) and simplify things.

Some (digestible) books on the history of US healthcare.

Also some board games from a best of 2017 list.

Really, the best gift would be if someone could dissipate the stress and hassle of moving...yecch

I really can't think of anything that I need.  My brother just sent me a gift.  It was a bonsai tree that came in the mail.  Very unique gift and something new to learn about.
