I just posted a comment on the blog. It is "awaiting moderation". Most comments post immediately. What triggers moderation? No curse words or attacks. Just curious.

This is not something I've seen - maybe a new feature that is being implemented. I'll forward to Jim.Our passion is protecting clients and others from predatory and ignorant advisors. Fox & Co CPAs, Fox & Co Wealth Mgmt. 270-247-6087

Actually, I just realized you said "blog" and not "forum" (sorry). Yes, I have experienced that in the past but not sure what triggers it. I went ahead and emailed your comment. Our passion is protecting clients and others from predatory and ignorant advisors. Fox & Co CPAs, Fox & Co Wealth Mgmt. 270-247-6087

Yes I have had it happen on the blog before too. It always posts eventually. Today I posted something about Docs getting into a side business where they cannot handle the complications and falsely advertise the benefits IMHO. I was specifically referring to hormone clinic pellets. I just wonder if certain words or phrases trigger it.

The default on Wordpress is to hold comments by new posters as "awaiting moderation" until approved. After you are approved for the first comment then subsequent comments post automatically. Many bloggers simply switch that off so that all comments automatically approve for everyone immediately.

I have been posting on this blog for years and have over 1100 posts on this forum so that does answer the question.

I expect to get some blowback from this comment. Be careful to make sure your side gig is ethical and something you really were trained to do. The marketing surrounding “hormone pellets” is astounding. They make you feel young again, lose weight, and reinvigorate your sex life. I recognize that lots of docs are making a killing with lab work and pellet injections. I see these patients in my office when they have a complication that someone who went to a weekend course cannot handle.
Great post Wealthy Doc. I just think people need to be careful about some side gigs out there. This is the awaiting moderation post.

There is a physician side gig closed group on Facebook, much of which appears to be dedicated to MLM schemes for selling face creams and such. After a couple weeks of the banter, I left the group.

I’ll take a five-year supply of your hormone pellets with unlimited refills, please.

I dont do pellets but they are marketed to be the fabled fountain of Youth by several practices in my area. Most of the people doing this are not trained to do it.

Happened enough to me that I don't post as much there anymore. Jim thought maybe it was due to the length of my comments. Shortening them didn't seem to change anything.

One of numerous issues I have with the typical MLM is how they often rely on people to leverage their network of friends and business associates to become customers. Both my personal Facebook feed and groups like Physician Side Gigs have too much product promotion and "PM me about an amazing business opportunity."
Meanwhile, LuLaRoe, a prominent MLM company, is being sued for $1 Billion for being a pyramid scheme. To which I ask the plaintiffs, what part of MLM did you not understand?

I know everybody is sorry about you not posting much. You are always upbeat and informative. Many people post much longer posts IMHO.
