It seems clear the app is collecting data. Less clear what is being done with it. If folks want to either use the website or app and have fun with it that is ok as long as they understand the risk, as well as it has been defined to date anyway.

I just checked, it’s the number one most downloaded app on the App Store. As you may or may not know, apple limits the access apps have to your data, and I’m sure this app has had extra scrutiny due to its popularity. If you’re worried about data collection there’s a company based in Mountain View that literally knows everywhere I’ve been in the past 10 years, every thing I’ve searched for and every photograph I’ve taken.
