And since we all think it’s so important, I’m assuming that none of us would ever vote for any public officials who did not provide that disclosure?
    Don't logic this.

Not sure where you are going with this. Just for the record, all Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates have to file a financial disclosure with the FEC. As implied in this whole string, these forms are very different than tax returns. Similarly, House and Senate candidates file in accordance with rules set up by their respective ethics committees. Generally speaking, as noted earlier, the purpose is to ascertain financial conflicts of interest, not prurient exposure of actual wealth.

        Well,

NIAID did not contract with the companies to produce the vaccines or issue guidelines as to who should get what and when. I might be concerned about the financial interests of the heads of the FDA, which approved the vaccines, or the CDC, which along with the FDA makes recommendations. But NIAID does not have any power over that.

I think that you assuming that your criteria for voting for any particular public official are the same as anyone else's criteria is ridiculous.

A cursory review of the history of any democracy should tell you this.

I don't like Fauci and his smug attitude. He should have retired long ago. Maybe even done FiRE, like we advocate here.

Having said that I have no problems with him being a decamillionaire. If he had not used his insider knowledge and not invested in single stock emerging medical companies and instead put it in mutual funds like S& P 500 or VSTAX, I have no issues with it. I even think he probably did not live like a resident early on, given his wealth and his age. I probably will overtake him a decade or more earlier but with no pension. And I won't hang around at his age, becoming a lightening rod but loving the spotlight on TV.
