In the mid 1990s I ordered a great cook book on amazon, thought: “ cool company, sells books online, would buy stock if I had $”

Remember discussion with friends. We were cooking BBQ and hanging out and I ordered a BBQ book, a Thai cook book and a Vietnamese cookbook.

I also ordered some lectures by great speakers.

I was astonished at the variety of books they sold. I was a broke (negative net worth) medical student and was barely paying rent.

If I had put a couple thousand in…..?
