Per recommendation of WD, I am breaking this out into a separate thread to facilitate conversation/discussion. I have amended the below slightly from original.
My wife (DPM) is being sued for missed diagnosis and I know her set of defense expert witnesses and have a lot of confidence on her defense based on facts, cold reads, and set of depositions done thus far.
My question; how important is the win/loss record of physicians that go to trial as a given plaintiff expert witness? Are there selection differences by specialty? What other considerations are in play for the selection of a given plaintiff expert witness?
