I almost always eat something for breakfast but have recently been considering trying intermittent fasting. When I was younger I generally didn't eat until 1pm and had a big lunch. Since I was 20 lbs lighter, it surely must be the breakfast, couldn't be due to reduced exercise and advanced age, lol.
I have a 92 year old patient in great shape. Sharp and physically active. Only takes levothyroxine since a very remote history of thyroidectomy. He attributes it to eating Cheerios every morning for the past several decades. I attribute it to his active lifestyle. However we are probably both wrong and it is mostly genetics.
I drink about 3 cups of coffee and switch to hot tea and munch on nuts during the day, most of nuts at the time you guys are eating breakfast. That’s it until evening - of course, my habits have changed a lot since I now only have to make sure there is adequate dog food in bowls at dinner time and they don’t mind if I don’t cook.
