Fair points, but how do you think your covid patients get home from the hospital?
For newly COVID+ diagnosis to get home-- personal transport for personal family taking that understandable risk.
The Photo Op drive around the area with people detailed for their job to protect you -- not a medical necessity; not a national issue -- willfully putting folk and self at risk. He's learned little unfortunately despite saying so.

And now he is tweeting for people to “not be afraid of covid, dont let it dominate your lives”. Yeah “Mr President” what do you say to the 209k+ families who lost a loved one this year from it?
Perhaps natural selection could be at play here. Anyone dumb enough to listen to our president on this issue (and many others) is probably more likely to get infected and potentially die. Theoretically speaking, fewer of those genes would then make it into the next generation. Nature works in mysterious ways right? Lol, what insane times we are living in.

Your protocol may be different, but we are not retesting patients prior to discharge, and we are not requiring health care workers to test negative prior to return to work based on CDC recommendations. I also do not think it is "mandatory" that all five days of RDV are completed if patient is showing rapid recovery from covid.

Yeah sure it shouldn’t dominate our lives, but like it or not it kind of does. But most of his supporters are going to take that to mean “ignore it, pretend it doesn’t exist, and dont change a thing.”
And while you’re at it might as well ignore climate change. Might as well ignore the bleaching events on our coral reefs. Might as well ignore wildfires and rising sea levels too. Whoo hoo! I’m going to buy me a military issued hummer to take the kids to school, eat at McDonald’s virtually every meal, and heat my home with coal!
Right? Sounds crazy, but the community where I practice generally lives/thinks/behaves this way.

-Speaking of CDC recs on +exposures for essential workers: Can work, with BID symptom check AND strict mask compliance while working. Dr. Conley got that right today.
Yet, to date -- not being followed by WH staff. eg: Press sec McEnany now positive too, that's that many more contacts she put into harms way (2 of her staff already positive).
Again, it's medically cavalier what's been done. Sure, it's better than Vegas odds nothing goes wrong. Perhaps folk are okay to operate medically at a higher error rate in general and with our President. I find it disturbing and certainly wouldn't rec that for my patients or family.

If the pt qualifies, then the patient is deemed pretty severe and warrants intensive monitoring on stabilization through the course of this EUA protocol. Early discharge can be a bit cavalier -- even as it is the WHMedical staff -- do they have 24/7 anesthesia onsite? Allowing for an off-campus photo op -- can certainly meet the cavalier criteria.
If the pt does NOT qualify -- then using these EUA medications off protocol - can certainly be deemed cavalier.
So which is it?
