  • Amazon Store Card

Anybody have the Amazon Store card?  I was just going to apply to get the $50 gift card and then cancel.  Has anyone done this--is it a pain in the arse to cancel?

I have it. Worth it if you order from them a lot - 3% cashback Amazon purchases, 2% for dining, gas and drugstores.

The regular one or the Prime Store card?

I believe the Prime Store card is the one with the $50 gift card. I have that one.

      1) It's very easy to cancel, you can actually close your account online (no need to email or call anyone)

      2) It's actually worthwhile to keep if you order from Amazon a lot. 5% cash back that's automatically applied to your monthly statement.

I have the store card (not the credit card) and use it to buy everything from Amazon- 5% off. totally worth it if you shop a lot at Amazon.

Didn't realize it was that good. I think most of the objects I've acquired over the past two years were from Amazon. That'd probably be several hundred dollars for me this year...

Yep, it adds up fast  :? ... I have the Target Store card, too- 5% again on everything- covers most of the things I get from an actual brick and mortar store.

This is a great card (like the Target card too)!  I also have a Fidelity Visa which gets 2% cash back on all purchases, so I use that for everything else.

I enjoy my Amazon Visa which gives 3% off Amazon but I still piggyback Amazon Prime for free so I'm not eligible for the 5% store card.  Will probably get one if I ever have to pay for prime myself.

Kinda funny, I got the Amazon Visa years back with the same mindset to get the free instant rebate, just $30 off at the time, if I recall, but ended up using it as my primary card since it has pretty decent perks.

Just switched to USAA's new "limitless" 2.5% cashback card and it's now my primary card for everything.
