And I'm glad you're here and that you are exactly who you are. While we may not always agree, I appreciate your commitment to educating white coat investors and others everywhere and that you in all ways remain true to yourself. Thank you for providing this forum for so many of us to meet and learn and for many more to lurk. May you and your family have a prosperous and blessed 2017.

And a Merry Christmas, et. al. back to you and everyone else.

43 hours to go in my 96 hour shift! Maybe I am living a "terrible, regrettable life."

Seriously? 96 hour shifts? No wonder FIRE looks so good to you. Is that really what everyone in your group wants?

There are 5 of us, so if we broke up the holidays, we'd each work 40% of them. Typical weekends are 72 hours (Friday morning to Monday morning).

It's not as bad as it sounds. I live close to the hospital, sleep through the night maybe half of my call nights, and do maybe 2 to 4 cases each day on average, with a CRNA. Ortho is the busiest, with a smattering of general surgery, urology, OB/Gyn, and the dreaded 0300 labor epidurals.

I'll be off until next year as my reward!
