Unless my coffee hasn't kicked in yet, it appears the IRS 1040 instructions are wrong as it pertains to the AMT tax worksheet on page 46:

In Question 1 where they ask if you're filling out Schedule A, if you select "NO", the statement reads:
"Skip lines 1 through 3; enter on line 4 the amount from Form 1040, line 38, and go to line 5"
It appears that the statement should read:
"Skip lines 1 through 2; enter on line 3 the amount from Form 1040, line 38, and go to line 4"
If I'm right and let them know, do you think they'll give me a pass on an audit? :-)
