  • Tax Efficient Strategy for REITS & Dividend ETF's (Taxable or Roth IRA)

    Hello All,
I was thinking to diversify my portfolio (add REITS and Dividend ETF).

    1. what would be the best account (taxable brokerage account or ROTH IRA) to buy REITs and/or Dividend ETF??
    2. Based on my research ROTH IRA is best for REIT's. Is it true?
    3. I am still confused which account to use for Dividend ETF.
    4. Any recommendation on REITs and Dividend ETF would also be highly appreciated. I am considering following REITs or Dividend ETF to add to my portfolio.
REITS - O, STAG, PLD, or AMT.
    Dividend ETF - SCHD

    Thanks.

Where are your accounts? Reits best in Roth, definitely not taxable. Recommend against a dividend etf

I have Roth 401K through employer which lets me invest in index funds only.
I have hsa which also lets me invest only in index funds only.
      Personal ROTH IRA through fidelity
Taxable brokerage acct through fidelity and robinhood.

What REITs would you recommend? I am looking at O, STAG, PLD, or AMT (leaning towards O)
Just for my knowledge - why do you recommend against dividend ETF?
