  • Solo Roth 401K providers selection seems limited

New to WCI and loving this forum so far.
I currently use Schwab for my traditional and Roth IRA's and they offer a traditional 401k plan.
I am currently looking at a Solo Roth 401k as I am self employed but it seems to be slim pickings when it comes to providers.
E-Trade and Vanguard are the only 2 that I can find that offer Solo Roth 401k plans.
Are there any more out there to choose from and might there be a reason Solo Roth 401k plans are not offered by more brokers?

Just use E*Trade, best by far.

    Welcome.

That was my plan. I was just curious as to why more providers don't offer Solo Roth 401K's.

Prob the extra work and exposure, as this is somewhat of a gray area for custodians. The sponsors tend to DIY and look to the custodians as the TPA. This is just a guess.

Secure 2.0 may change this since certain contributions are required to be Roth. We’ll see how the IRS interprets the law.
