Hi all, just finished taxes and was told that due to pension plan (retired military), I can’t continue to contribute to a backdoor Roth? Does that make sense? Appreciate any advice…thanks
Nope. Your total income might prevent you from contributing directly to a Roth IRA, but it shouldn’t keep you from making a back door Roth IRA contribution.
This wasn’t perhaps a FirstCommand guy suggesting that you invest more money that would be subject to asset under management fees rather than using a back door Roth through a low cost company like Schwab, Vanguard, or Fidelity, was it?
