How difficult is it to convert a solo401k into a solo401k that can do MBDR?

Has anyone attempted to change their solo401k after it has already been made? I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of setting it up right now in addition to the normal solo401k, but if at some point in the future I decide it is worth it, will that be a huge issue?

Any recommendations for where to open a solo401k that might make this a little easier?
