Stumbled across Realty Shares recently. Interesting premise. I've always wanted to invest in real estate but just don't have the patience for it. Has anyone tried one of these "crowdfunding" investment sites? Just curious as to any first-hand experiences.
Actually, there are a couple of threads on it on this site (and undoubtedly more on bogleheads).
I have been investing on RealtyShares and PeerStreet, have had a mixed experience, have not (yet) lost any money on deals, and am winding down my involvement.

Yes, there are a few other threads but in short, I've done quite well with it. Besides doing some vetting up front, it's completely passive and I like that it's collateralized with the property. No loss of capital yet although one was delayed a bit and the return was less than had been initially expected.
