  • Fam med compensation formula

I’m at an academic medical center but have purely clinical responsibilities- no research or education.

We currently have a tier system (take home more of collections with higher productivity). There is talk of a flat per wrvu model.

How are other primary care/fam med folks compensated? Anyone willing to share what their $/wrvu is?

    Thanks!

I'm not FP but am on a tiered production model. Obviously tiering works well for higher producers. If we went to a flat model I'd take a serious pay cut and would look for another job.

I am internal medicine Primary care, in a rural midwest setting. The $/wRVU is 3 tiers between 48-64 dollars

FM in Phoenix, no real base salary unless you're a new hire (first year with base salary and no production), after that $46 per RVU. If you fall below 50% RVU for two years in a row, you can expect to have your contact terminated.

          Contract, not contact!
