Have been curious to see what practices pay/reimburse physician leaders out in the community.
At the institutions I've experienced personally and with family (Kaiser, VA, Henry Ford, UCalifornia), it's usually a little time 4-8 hours reduction from clinic obligations (same pay) and sometimes a small stipend 10-15k for 5-10 physician coverage.
The time certainly doesn't cover the number of hours spend at meetings, managing fellow physicians, and fielding all the complaints, reports, strategy plans out there --- just wondering how practices outside large institutions (or other institutions) do this.
