Found out C-speak is actually Nuance Dragon Medical One which in licensed within the EMR ( Centricity). A little less cumbersome as you don't have to open a dictation box. Costs a little more a month but don't have to sign a three year contract.

I would use the voice recognition (VR) software the majority of your associates are comfortable with. If you already like Dragon Medical then there needs to be a good reason to switch as you will have to learn a new VR system. Ditto for any new hires if they are not familiar with Cspeak.
Powerscribe (Nuance's VR product for radiology) has a large chunk of the market among radiologists. It's very robust and experienced users can have it automatically prefill templates with history, reason for exam, and preload report templates based on the study being viewed. Since many radiology residents use Powerscribe in their training it's a seamless transition if they join a practice that uses Powerscribe. If they have to learn a new VR product its a big hit to productivity.

I don’t know anything about Cspeak, but have been happy with Dragon.

Dictation software.... Cspeak ?
We are updating our dictation software for our EMR. One of my associates is pushing this Cspeak software which is apparently owned by our Cloud provider. I have never heard of it and is more expensive than Dragon Medical. Any thoughts on this or the other dictation software?Tags: None
