  • Apps / software / tech that helps you run your practice

Curious to hear about apps, software, tech that docs, dentists, and other professionals are using to help run the business of their practice. Not EMRs or stuff related to patient care.

Are you using any communication platforms such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or other, since group email generally sucks?

Quickbooks Online, Xero, or other cloud bookkeeping and accounting software to help you track and stay on top of numbers?

Dropbox, Office 365, OneDrive, Docusign, Google cloud apps or other platforms for file sharing, document management?

Square, Stripe, or other payment system for collecting in the office or through billing and web payments?

Tech nerds, what can’t you live without?

A lot of my dentist friends (as well as patients) use and love Slack.

QB online for client bkk, desktop for our firm and online billing/payments; Zoom for online meetings; Sharefile for file uploads (used to use Dropbox, but we believed SF had better security); ScheduleOnce for online scheduling. We use Advyzon CRM software but that is related to the financial advice profession (are there similar options for doctors?) We recommend MileIQ to physician clients who need to track mileage.

Our tax software has its own portal for us to share documents with clients but this is for tax-related documents only.
