    I second this exactly except, I'd add "1a" - figure out how to get in the same city ASAP. I've had many family members try to live separately but married... didn't turn out so great.

      In terms of where to park the cash, you could use GUSD (stablecoin) on Gemini, and/or use a short term Treasury ETF (VGSH, SGOV, BIL are all good options).

        Yes, hard deal but try to live in same place is important.

            Some people need a lot of cash I guess. At least you see it as a potential problem. It’s a serious problem.

            Some people can benefit from seeing a financial planner (hopefully one that is ethical and competent).
