Seems a lot of places are back in the black after a rough revenue drop on outpatient $tuff and PPE/cleaning costs in 2020 that put hiring freezes, hold on raises, pay cuts or furloughs in some areas, etc.
My center is no exception. We had raises on hold for 99% of employees after COVID hit, but now they did a 3% COLA for all employees of the hospital system... plus our performance eval/raises (roughly 5-10% for docs based on productivity... vs the usual 1-5% annual). That makes up for last year to some degree.
Are a lot of other people seeing this? It seems pretty standard to be getting raises among my contacts in academic, govt, and other regular "non-profit" hospital employed. If you're not getting a bump, you probably need to ask.
