Thankful we did because we got a great house at a great price and would now cost 10+% more from a year ago. If we waited we'd be in a worse position. Yet I know some folks who bought recently because "interest rates are low" and one got their dream job offer across the country 6mo later, and so on.
    basically pretending we know with any certainty the future, no matter how it appears is much more an illusion than we'd like to admit.

      You'd think this past 18 months would have taught us all that!

      All anyone can do is to think things through and make what seems to be the best decision under the circumstances. If the circumstances change, well, that is life!
