Changing/switching insurance agents

I purchased DI from a local agent a while ago.  At the point now where policy needs to be reviewed and the benefits need to be increased (I think) due to change in income.  However, I cannot get a hold of the agent!  Tried multiple times but either getting no response or extremely delayed responses for a while (one month+)...

Not sure how to handle this situation.  Can one "switch" agents?  Uncertain as the commission has already been made by the initial agent and there is likely no benefit for the new agent

Just pick a new agent. He/she will take care of it all and it is super easy. No drama involved. The people who advertise on this forum do a good job so that is a good place for you to start.

It is called an Agent of Record (AOR) form, new agent needs to have you sign it, then they will send to the carrier for processing.  At that point the new agent will be able to look at the details of the policy, answer any questions you might have about it and they will be notified any future service issues you might have.

Nope, just has to be licensed in your state. The advertisers on this site have all been vetted by WCI (hint, hint).
