  • Waiting on 1099-Div from Vanguard

Are you guys in the same boat as me waiting on your 1099-Div from Vanguard in order to file your tax return? Frustrating how slow they are to release these documents when all of the news stories you read are saying file as soon as possible because of ID theft concerns/people filing false tax returns under your name. Also frustrating to wait when you are owed $40k+ because of overwithholding.

Since I cant file till after I file my office returns on 3/15 and get all my k-1 which won't come in till almost 4/1 I can't speed up my personal tax return filing.

I see the Vanguard UGMA 1099-DIV. the regular account 1099 is not yet there.

Their website says to expect it by the middle of February

Good for you for getting after it early.  Shame on you for that withholding.

I guess you could file and then amend, if you were feeling really aggro.

        I have to wait for K-1s, too...hassle.

I’m not sure this is unique to Vanguard. I have not received 1099s from Schwab. I’m just happy if I don’t need to file an extension.

I believe Schwab`s 1099s are available online to download.

Still waiting on mine from E*Trade.  FWIW in the recent past Vanguard didn't release them till the end of February.  I think I didn't get mine from Motif investing last year until March.

Same boat here. Refund smaller than yours though. Everything else is totally done and ready to go.

Haven’t gotten mutual fund forms from anyone. It’s not unique to Vanguard.

Yeah waiting as well. Frustrating for same reason...I’m afraid of ID theft. Mine are ready to file otherwise so the day it is released I’ll be submitting my returns and hoping no one else already has.

Still waiting.  I've have my 1099 from my fidelity account for two weeks now.
