I suspect you could block entire ranges of IP addresses and little of value would be lost to the members of this forum.

I thought we had it licked, but there they were again tonight. We'll have to try something different. It's easy to blog IP addresses on the blog side; I guess we'll have to implement that on the forum side too.

No.. I understood that much more than I understand Crixus' recommendations (sometimes I'm not even sure if there are recommendations to be had....).  He sorta reminds me of that whole life salesperson I met that made everything sound complicated (so it must be right/good!?!).

And no, I don't speak Chinese!

As a long-time lurker on the forum sidelines, Crixus has been my favorite! Every post starts off like he's actually going somewhere, then it all devolves into cryptic nonsense with a random chart thrown in for good measure. Example:

"If all of this so-called "spam" isn't clear evidence of the future superiority of the petro-yuan over the petro-dollar, I don't know what is. Anyone who pays attention can see where all this is headed. If you'd read the real news, you'd know what to do with this forum: get out of fiat currency! It's all here folks!"

I just recently moved to Japan, so I thought I had just completely messed up some settings causing me to see everything everyone else had typed in Kanji. Then I saw it was all the same poster and was very relieved.
