mobile users

am i doing something wrong?

i have an iphone.

on safari, i cannot figure out how to

1)quote

2)like posts

3)no category is displayed on the forum home page, so it is not easy to skip topics because they are in the lounge.

 

if someone could help me to use the site more effectively from iphone, it would be appreciated

I've got an iPhone, although I confess 99.5% of the time I spent on this site is desktop. Probably should change that habit.

If you scroll right you can see the forum a thread is in. The easy answer? Turn the phone sideways.

I don't see a way to like or quote a post there. I also don't see the other 5 options I have (spam, trash, merge, stickie, close, edit). That feature would likely cost me a few bucks. How bad do you want it?

Hold down reload button in the address bar until it says request desktop site. Hit request desktop site, then you can quote, like, etc.

ha!  i knew i was an idiot.  thanks for the tip regarding scrolling and landscape.  i thought iphone 7 plus would be big enough to display the whole page, but obviously stupid me. 

for me,  i enjoy the like and quote features enormously and miss them when i'm on the phone surfing the website, which is most of my use.

i would suggest adding it, but obviously not my money.   i do think the features help the experience significantly.

Liked, quoted and replied from my iphone.  I never knew you could get the desktop version this way.

For me I liked the mobile version as it was displayed on phone in portrait but the availability of like and quote trumps presentation

Desktop version over mobile on my iphone 6s. No like button and limited other features is painful secondary to less interaction. Most of the time I post from a laptop.

6s worked well with the Donnie trick. Hardly checked the site on my phone because of the like problem.

It’d be nice to have like, quote, and reply on the default mobile version of the site, but I’d rather you didn’t have to pay more for it.

If you are opening the wallet to add new features, an ignore button would be nice. Could improve the signal to noise ratio (Crixus).

I personally would REALLY love to be able to like and quote from the mobile version. I use my phone 99 percent of the time and sometimes don't respond because I can't quote from the mobile version. But maybe I'm the only one :-)

Did you try donnie’s Fix?   It’s not the mobile version but it allows quote and like from the phone

I have an android phone, so I can't do that! On other websites there's a link at the bottom that allows you to switch to the desktop site, but I don't see a link like that on the mobile version here :-(
