Do any of you know a good resource for looking up CME-qualifying conferences by location and date. So for example, if I wanted to be in San Diego in January of 2018, how can I search for conferences that are not held by the major medical organizations (eg, AAP, ACP, etc)? I get so many random fliers mailed to me for conferences all over the country that I figure there has to be some database somewhere online?

yielded me nothing terribly useful--I had looked thru MDLink, etc. These types of sites still do not seem super comprehensive and I was just wondering if there was a more robust database out there.
Those Travel Seminars are very interesting/shady. I'm guessing docs give date/location and then try to get their CME funds/PTO to cover it? Seems like that's what they're designed for. Anyone else done these? Are they frowned upon?

I've done a total of 3 CME trips in the past. 1 to Germany for a HTN conference and 2 to Hawaii for an Int Med conference. I found them on a website such as the one I linked to above. I simply decided where I want to go FIRST, then looked for conferences in that location and during a time of year that worked for me. I don't know of one comprehensive source.

I agree with you - this should be a thing. Doesn't seem like it is.
