I believe I signed up fairly early for the waiting list. When will we find out if we made the cut?

While it's possible you could come off the waiting list the week before the conference, I expect it'll be pretty nailed down by the end of August. Lots of moving parts right now- hunting down people who paid and didn't register, people who registered and didn't pay, changing the room configuration (oh, you guys want screens and a stand, we'll have to take out a few seats for that), determining if speaker's spouses will be coming, trying to figure out how many sponsors we'll have etc. But it looks like it may only be 20 or so coming off the waiting list.

I definitely would pay the full registration price to attend and see it live!  Plus its a vacation and tax write off for practically the whole trip.   But to see it leisurely on streaming for a fee... honestly I'm not sure.. I guess it would depend on the post reviews...?   Double digit fee.. probably just to support this conference (I'll pay now).  Triple digit fee... for me it might be a tough sell?   Just an honest opinion.

That's what I'm looking for. Wide variation in what people answer- from your sub $100 (where it doesn't make financial sense to produce it) to others saying $500 (where it would make a ton of sense to produce.)

After looking around at eCommerce summits/conferences this is what I found: virtual passes were approximately 10-20% of attending fees.

For all those folks on the waiting list or who can’t make it that weekend… will there be a video recording to review later on?

Maybe. Still working on that. What kind of a price would you expect to pay for something like that?

IMO, unless there is some secret, magic money-making or investing formula to revealed at the conference, though people say that they would be interested in paying for the streams, I doubt that they will. Most of the content will be already known to those interested and is widely available on your site and in many sites on the internet without charge.

The conference will be a great opportunity to network with like-minded physicians, meet personal finance authors, and connect with forum friends, while spending a couple of days on the slopes. I doubt that there will be life-changing success secrets offered that will make it worth buying a video after the fact.

if you are looking for a data point, i would not buy a streaming session at any price.

i would watch for free maybe, if for some reason you were trying to drum up interest in something else, but even that is not clear.

I wouldn't expect someone with hundreds of posts on this forum to be a purchaser. But don't discount the value of what you view as very basic information to someone who has never heard it before.

right.  vagabond and i are old guys (for this board).  sorry vagabond.  we may be poorly equipped to remember what it was like starting out, let alone with 500k of student loans.  and a thirst for security and stability that gets reduced as the years go by.   it may be that some of the content should be shown to all medical students and purchasers would be institutional.  or even residencies.  or even financial advisors as another means to leverage wci credibility and engender confidence in their sometimes skeptical, paranoid newly minted physician clientele.   or not.

what was i saying?  i'm old and lost my train of thought.

Very interested to know what WCI decides. Following for how pricing is set

                    a) Push pricing till you hear the buying party scream?

                    b) Some other rough percentage based methodology.

I haven't even figured out what the product will be, much less the pricing. It's like everything else around here....we're just making it up as we go along.

Any chance we can get a list of the books that will be in the swag bag? It'd be nice to be able to ask specific questions during the book signing.

I'll try to get it before hand.

BTW- We're going further into the waiting list than we expected to fill the last 10 slots. Some of you might have a chance yet.

Would be really cool if some of the presentations / panels were recorded and used as podcast content
