  • Waiting List Time

We hit 300 registrants for the conference this morning, so anyone registering after now is being put on the waiting list. The good news is I expect we'll get 20-50 people off that waiting list due to duplicate registrations, people who registered but didn't pay, and rejiggering the set-up of the room. So if you (or someone else you want to come) haven't registered yet, do so ASAP.

If you registered prior to 11 am MST on 7/18, get your money in before we give your spot away. If you registered after 11 am MST on 7/18, DO NOT send us money until you get email confirmation from us that we have room for you.

Are you going to tell us who is coming when you have the final list?

I've never heard of a CME conference releasing a list of who attended. Is that a thing?

I should be there, in case someone wants to to get dragged into an inane and volatile argument in person.

Looking forward to it! Let's meet up and discuss the finer details of bitcoin! But seriously, let's grab some coffee or something.

There will be at least one doc there with serious interest (and a side gig) in cryptocurrencies.

Yes but not online, generally the list is provided to those attending in their packet. At least for derm conferences it is.

I have heard. And good for him/her for navigating that world. Too complex for me.

Well this is interesting. Sign-ups are going faster for the waiting list than the actual conference list.

Less commitment! (also no cost...). Kind of a funny thing to observe though!

As an early phase career physician, I was hesitant to sign up early. I was worried about how my signing up for this conference would be perceived, as opposed to going for traditional specialty specific CME.

Until better sense prevailed, and I figured admin won't really care what I do with the CME funds, as long as it's truly for CME.

Understood, and some of us are too far gone to give a ************************. My next CME course is next month cruising the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon with the Wilderness Medical Society.

I am still searching for the existence of the Medici Medical Society for their annual conference in Florence.

I work at a fancy pants private university.  Not that many years ago a couple of the faculty in my division used to help teach a CME conference on a cruise ship.

I don't think administration gets to judge the nature of the CME.  As long as it's somehow relevant and giving CME then they should let you use your CME funds.

Next year's conference site should host 1,000 people, minimum.

Crap. Does that mean I have to speak in front of a thousand people? And picture all one thousand of them in their underwear?

                              Nevermind.
