The Islamic New Year isn't until September. However the New Year I write about in the post is frankly more impactful to me.

Sigh, the new first year derm residents start this week. We don't cut back clinic. It's gonna be rough for a while ... (not to mention it's also much heavier on the consult service).

We don't get to cut back in the ER when the interns start, so I don't think you should get to cut down the clinic load.

Ha good point. But many derm programs do cut back clinic since the newbies can't see patients or do any procedures unsupervised/efficiently. It really drops efficiency by more than 50% and I'm better seeing them on my own.
