I was just curious if anyone here has their practice classified as a 501c3? I am trying to figure out whether it is worth it. I will ultimately be owning all of the properties that my practices are located in, so it would be nice to not have to pay property taxes and other taxes. I already take Medicaid/medicare patients. It would also be nice to not have to pay tax on other things (sales tax on equipment, etc). However, it is my understanding that I'd never be able to sell the properties I own under the 501c3 because once classified as a 501c3, I won't technically own them anymore, and won't be able to cash in on the profit of the sale.
