WCI (Jim Dahle) was the guest for Rick Ferri on my second favorite podcast "Bogleheads on Investing"
Great overview of many financial topics, I found maybe the most concise review of Dr. Dahle's investing advise.
The podcast did bring up one question for me, with regards to real estate investing.
WCI stated that about 20% of his NW was in real estate asset classes (I thought due to frequent conversation about this that the actual amount was quite a bit greater).
My current situation is that I have about 50% of NW in index funds, but about 40% of NW in business real estate (I own medical real estate where I practice).
I think real estate investing has a lot of benefits (namely depreciation) and I am not bothered by my high percentage of NW in real estate.
I wonder if that 20% percentage of WCI NW in real estate will increase over time due to these benefits.
