  • LLC and contract

I formed an LLC for an independent contractor job.  In the contract it states my "(company name), LLC", a professional corporation.  I am concerned because it describes my LLC as a professional corporation although it is not.  Would this be insignificant or something that needs to be changed on an employment agreement.  My W9 would specify. Thanks.

Corporation is used loosely here and I wouldn't worry about it. The contract should have said "company" or "organization", but not a big deal. If you're still concerned, this is a question for an attorney. Maybe one of the lawyers will answer.

Who drafted the contract?  Get them to fix it.
