Value line and Morningstar

How reliable is Value line ratings? I saw that valueline rated highly several Load funds and those with very high expense ratios and gave rather surprisingly disappointing ratings to the low cost index funds. How about Morning star Analyst ratings of gold/silver/ bronze?

They are, for the most part, focused on past performance.

I have not looked at Value Line in some time.

I use Morningstar for data only.
