I have absolutely no idea what the market will do.

Regardless of what it will do, now is a good time to buy.

If we are about to get punched in the mouth (as many say) I will be glad to have some $ to buy stocks on sale.

If the market goes up, I will add some to the cash bucket and get it fat and ready for SORR in earlier retirement.

We will see. Just keep buying. Especially if you are a youngster (under 55!).

Yes, last few weeks have been pretty volatile.

Bought a tiny amount today: VTI, VIOV, VXUS.

He can’t stop, that will spike inflation up again. The ECB still raised rates by .5, I bet the fed does too.

Wonder if the spring weather (already visiting the south and just around the corner for the Northern states) plus the longer days will brighten spirits?

This forum alone has been doom and gloom for a while now. I predicted a down year and a few days/weeks ago I doubled down on that prediction.

The Fed has a problem. Bail out banks = more money in circulation = more inflation.

Decide not to bail out banks and the banks and politicians are on their back and people panic?

Raise rates and banks suffer further (everyone in MMF and short term treasuries rather than savings accounts) + banks longer term bonds are worth less.

Raising rates aggressively also makes investors panic? (as does failing to bail out banks) but failing to raise rates worsens inflation.

I personally would be OK with banks failing and rates rising and stocks correcting for a while longer........although it does sting a little (I am a human and I feel it too).

Regardless, I will buy when I have money and might be inclined to buy more when prices drop.

Regardless, I will try to ignore the news = noise and keep buying.

I do think we are not computers and the warmer brighter days might make folks happier.......but that is just me.

Like this thread and will keep it going if possible. Hang in there folks.

Feels good to buy shares on sale.

Will work a little more and buy a little more soon.

20 years from now stocks will be higher, IMO.

Since I hold my brokerage in Schwab and found not obvious financial misdeeds by Schwab, I bough some SCHW.yesterday. A small pop today.

I bought FNCL finance sector ETF. Seems like a great time to buy it. Have also been buying PPA aerospace and defense sector ETF.

Not often those sorts of obvious plays present themselves. Treasuries (short) a year ago another example.

    Pulled the trigger on neither.

Happy to keep buying my usual stuff at my usual pace.
I did buy Schwab on Monday (along with individual highly risky bank stocks: FRC PACW some others). In hindsight, options was the way to go, but not complaining after today.

r/r worth it for me - times of crises are ideal periods to exploit asymmetric opportunities. Just need to Kelly size accordingly if making larger bets.
