  • Betterment for brokerage

What's some thoughts on using betterment for brokerage account? I thinking of the core 80/20 allocation. I really like the auto tax loss harvesting

I don't know .25 is pretty low I don't have to constantly be looking for tax loss harvesting.

TLH is not that hard to learn and do. Once you have accumulated a certain amount of TLH the value of constantly doing more TLH rapidly declines. You can only deduct $3k a year off your personal taxes. Rest is only valuable to offset capital gains.

I would not pay extra for that service.

You also have to be careful about wash sales since Betterment may not know about you or your spouse's other accounts.

            TLH is not worth 0.25%

It's also quite overrated in general.
