I find it quite coincidental that Ford and Rivian changed their plans only a week after an IPO which Ford turned a $500 mil investment into $10 billion. You really think if they had no plans on working together after investing $500 mill , that it would have came out before the IPO. Fords investment in Rivian gives it legitimacy and Ford , starts to look more like an EV player, win for both parties , except the investors.

A legacy company investing into a startup unfortunately doesn't give legitimacy though. GM had a deal for a $2B investment in Nikola and we all know how well that went.
Rivian actually has a product so it's not like Nikola but there's just too many questions for a true investment now. Speculation? Sure.

Ford also had resigned from the BOD.
See post #47.
The only Ford relationship at IPO was as a shareholder at IPO. Fully disclosed and the actions were a clear indication of the companies going separate ways.

I definitely couldn't stomach buying individual stocks. Watching my investments lose 60% in two months would be way too stressful.
