Vanguard wash sale

vanguard sent out a notification about a new feature with PAS. It looks like that if you sell stock and in the next 30 days you are set to be rebalanced they will substitute a fund.

I don’t think it means much for me. But I found their surrogate list quite helpful and wanted to pass it along to you all.

Interesting. Not a bad starting point. Gets more complicated if you need a 2nd or 3rd TLH

I thought Bogleheads also had a similar list but I'm too lazy to confirm.

Still, it looks like a useful resource for people using Vanguard funds who want to TLH and want to put their funds from the sale into a fund that isn't wildly different from the fund that they sold (the way domestic stock into international stock, or small cap value into large cap growth would be) without triggering a wash sale.
