  • VTI vs VTSAX

Any advantages/disadvantages of one vs the other?

In terms of returns, negligible difference. If you are making periodic investments, VTSAX (mutual fund) is more convenient than VTI (ETF).

VTI is also easier to type out vs. VTSAX.

          Not really.

ETF theoretically had a tax advantage but Vanguard did away with that somehow. Some brokerages charge fees for investing in index funds, so ETFs would have an advantage there. But if that doesn’t apply to you, 6 vs half dozen.
