  • Rebalancing: Choosing a bond fund.

Hi all, I am rebalancing and choosing a bond fund for my 403b. My institution offers the options below through Fidelity with no transaction fees. I can choose from many other funds, such as the Vanguard Total Market Bond fund (VBMFX), but it would be a a $75 fee to purchase. I have never heard of PIMCO and iShares and would appreciate thoughts from the forum on these choices.

    1. PIMCO Global Advantage Strategy Bond Fund Institutional Class (PSAIX) - ER 0.85%
    2. iShares U.S. Aggregate Bond Index Fund Class K (WFBIX) - ER 0.06%
    3. Fidelity Total Bond Fund (FTBFX) - ER 0.45%
    4. Other Fidelity bond funds...

    Thank you in advance!

Please use Morningstar and learn how to evaluate funds.
Compare then to the gold std VBMFX.
One of those is the answer.

Thanks Gas_Doc. Did you make that comparison on Morningstar?
