For education purposes, non-AUM fee-only advisors will manage lower amounts of investments if they d/n charge a separate AUM fee specific to the management of those investments and/or d/n include financial planning in the AUM fee. For example, the majority of our planning clients are “Basic Tier” and pay for financial planning advice including comprehensive ongoing planning and investment recommendations and education that the client implements.
